This document is the whole agreement between you and Hirehound for Pay when you're hired. A copy stays in Settings under Applications and billing, where you can download it, and Hirehound keeps a copy on file.
2. What Hirehound does for you
- Finds open jobs that pass the sniff test you set, ranks them and explains each one.
- Prepares and submits applications on employers' own sites, only inside the permission you give, up to 275 applications (250 plus your free 25) and up to 100 a month.
- On up to 10 dream jobs a month: Fetch the hiring manager, optional Deep tailoring, and prep for the hiring manager round.
- Tracks replies, interviews and offers from the mail you forward.
3. The jobs this agreement covers
Hirehound does not take orders for help from employers, and employers pay Hirehound nothing. The jobs covered are the ones Hirehound applies to for you during this agreement. For each one, its receipt records the employer and its address as published, the job posting, the date Hirehound found the posting and how it was received, and the place of work the posting gives. Each receipt forms part of this agreement. The hours, wages or salary, benefits and other conditions of each job are those in its posting and in the employer's offer to you. If Hirehound knows of a strike, lockout or other labor dispute at an employer, it tells you on that job and its receipt before applying.
4. The fee
- When it is owed. Only if you accept an offer for a job Hirehound applied to for you, within 3 months of that application. Nothing is owed for any other job, and nothing is owed if you don't take one.
- How much. 1% of your first-year pay in that job: base salary plus target commission or bonus, as stated in your offer. The employer pays no part of this fee.
- When it is billed. On day 90 of the new job, never before, by card or invoice. Before billing, you confirm the employer, start date and first-year pay by uploading your offer letter or connecting your payroll, read once with your consent.
- If the job ends early. If you leave for just cause, or are let go for reasons other than misconduct connected with your work, before day 90, no fee is owed. If the job ends before then for any other reason, the fee is still billed on day 90, and it may not exceed your gross earnings in that employment.
You agree to tell Hirehound when you accept an offer for a covered job. Applications asks when an offer arrives in your forwarded mail, and short check-ins come at 30, 60 and 90 days and at the end of the 3 months.
5. How long it lasts
This agreement expires 180 days after the date you sign it. Applications Hirehound made before then stay covered for the 3 months after each one, but never past the expiration date. You may stop using Hirehound at any time; doing so does not change the fee for a covered job you have already accepted.
6. RIGHT TO REFUND
"If you pay all or any portion of a fee and fail to accept employment, the employment agency shall, upon your request, return the amount paid to you within 48 hours after your request for a refund.
"If you leave employment for just cause or are discharged for reasons other than misconduct connected with your work within 90 days from the starting date of employment, the agency shall reduce your fee to that payable for temporary employment and shall refund any excess paid within 10 days of your request for a refund.
"No fee larger than that for temporary employment may be charged to you for employment lasting 90 days or less unless the agency's fee schedules, contracts, and agreements provide for a further charge if you leave employment without just cause or are discharged for misconduct in connection with your work.
"If any refund due is not made within the time limits set forth above, the employment agency shall pay you an additional sum equal to the amount of the refund."
7. Other terms
- Hirehound maintains the bond California requires of employment agencies (Civil Code section 1812.503).
- Your plan details, the offer letter you upload and the pay you report are kept encrypted until the fee is paid or this agreement ends, then deleted, except the invoice record.
- The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply. Where they differ from this agreement on Pay when you're hired, this agreement governs.
- Questions or a refund request: help@hirehound.ai.
