How paying works
The free 25
Every account starts with 25 applications, no card and no clock. The free 25 are never dream jobs.
Sets, packs or the bone
Pay as you go bills $10 as each set of 10 starts. Buy ahead is paid once for 100. Pay when you're hired charges nothing until day 90 of a job we applied to.

For coaches and partners
A career coach or program can buy applications for a group and give each client a code worth a set number of free applications. Partners pay by invoice or bank transfer. Talk to us.
Pay when you're hired, in writing
If you take a job Hirehound applied to within 3 months, the fee is 1% of your first-year pay, billed on day 90 of the new job. You read and sign the agreement, with its Right to Refund notice, before you owe anything.
Questions about paying
What counts as an application?
Only an application that is submitted on the employer's site. A run that is skipped, cancelled during its 10-minute hold, or fails is free, and the application goes back to your balance.
Do Buy ahead applications expire?
No. They stay on your account until you use them, up to 100 a month.
Can I change plans?
Pay as you go can move to Buy ahead at any time. Pay when you're hired is chosen when you sign up, with its written agreement, and its terms stay for the jobs it applied to within the window.
Can I pause?
Yes. Pausing stops the daily search, auto apply and the emails, and keeps your balance, your leads and your applications. Nothing recurs, so there is nothing to cancel.
Are interviews charged?
Never, on any plan. Interviews show up in Applications from the mail you forward.
Will Hirehound send anything without my OK?
Only if you say so. On a short leash nothing goes without your OK. On a long leash Hank applies to the jobs you check and dream jobs wait for you. Off leash, he applies the moment a lead passes your sniff test. Change it any time.
Will it make things up on my resume?
No. Tailoring reorders and rewords your real experience. It never adds a skill, title or number you don't have, and every change shows the reason beside it.
Where does it apply?
On each employer's own careers site, from your own email. If the site needs an account, as Workday often does, Hirehound creates it with your email and reads the verification code from the mail you forward, only if you allow it.
Will it spam one company?
No. It never sends the same role twice, and you can cap how many applications go to any one company in Settings.
Will it apply at my current employer?
Never. Jobs at your current employer don't appear, and any company you add to Do not apply stays off your leads.
Does it message recruiters for me?
Only with your OK. Hank drafts the email, you approve the exact words, and it sends from your Gmail. Nothing ever goes out on LinkedIn.
Does it help after I apply?
